Caleb Fulford '24

On track to graduate early in 2024, Caleb Fulford is pursuing dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Government and American Studies at the College of William & Mary. On campus, Caleb seeks to strengthen governmental systems via systematic study and activism, concentrating on Constitutional law and broader matters of equality and nondiscrimination. This semester, as one of five students at the W&M Washington Center, he is interning for Congressman Glenn Ivey of Maryland, the only freshman Democrat appointed to the House Judiciary Committee in the 118th Congress. Caleb is also pursuing an Honors Thesis in Government and recently designed a mixed-methods approach to research the intersection between the Commerce Clause and abortion-related interstate travel bans.

As the Vice President of W&M Moot Court, Caleb reviews the underlying jurisprudence of contentious Constitutional questions and gives oral arguments before simulated Supreme Court hearings. In November 2022, he was runner-up at the Elm City Regional at Yale University and qualified for the American Moot Court Association National Tournament for his work on the Fourth Amendment. Caleb is also an engaged member of the Innocence Project, Young Democrats, and Phi Sigma Pi, the National Honor Fraternity. A prolific writer, he works as an editing consultant in the office of Federal Student Aid at the United States Department of Education and the William & Mary Writing Resources Center, where he addresses concerns for students composing papers in various disciplines. Caleb spends his free time reading Politico, exploring Colonial Williamsburg, and hanging out with his friends.

Daniel Posthumus is a sophomore at the College of William & Mary, majoring in government and economics.

He has lived most of his life in Japan on military bases and grew up with a unique international perspective. He's involved in research on truth commissions in the United States at the International Justice Lab with Dr. Kelebogile Zvobgo, which is the experience that got him first interested in the story of the Iowa City Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
