The Haven: A Center for Support, Advocacy, and Empowerment is currently recruiting student volunteers for the position of Confidential Advocate. Please review the Confidential Advocate Position Description.Application Process:
- Complete and submit this application. The deadline is Friday, March 12 at 11:59pm.
- Interviews for selected applicants will begin the week of March 21st.
Selected applicants must attend mandatory training in the Fall of 2021. Missing the mandatory training will automatically terminate your position as Confidential Advocate. Mandatory training will be held the first weekend (Sept. 4-5) after classes start from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Saturday and Sunday. If you participate (or plan to participate) in fraternity/sorority life, you will need to ask for permission, well in advance, to be excused from weekend activities that may conflict with our mandatory training.
For those applicants accepted, The Haven will hold a welcome event the week of April 25th, prior to the end of the semester.

**Please note. Students who are Resident Assistants (RAs) at W&M may not volunteer as a Confidential Advocate due to a conflict of interest. All volunteers must be in good standing at W&M in regards to conduct and honor policies.
