About Heather
Heather Deere serves at the Director of Family Engagement, overseeing the professional, graduate, and undergraduate staff that make up the Family Engagement team. She has spent over 5 years working in Family Engagement at William & Mary, with a particular focus on creating enriching and rewarding experiences for the parents, families, and supporters of undergraduate students.
Heather holds a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University (Gig 'em!) focused on Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education and a bachelor's degree in Rhetoric and Writing from the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith (Go Lions!).
As a first-generation college graduate, Heather is passionate about building inclusive communities and supporting positive student outcomes through collaboration and advocacy.
