Parking Restrictions for HS Graduation Ceremonies

Kaplan Arena will once again serve as the venue to support Williamsburg-James City County High School Graduations. Each School and their designated ceremony times are listed below.
In order to provide parking support for all graduates and their guests the following parking areas will be reserved for exclusive HS use. Starting at 7:00 am each day
- Brooks St from Ukrop Way to Compton Dr is designated as ADA and VIP parking only. It will also be under a one-way restriction.
- ADA drop off is at the back Kaplan ramp
- ADA Parking requires a DMV issued plate or placard
- VIPs must display issued pass
- Brooks St from Compton Dr to McClurg St will serve as the ADA Overflow
- The Compton Lot and both Upper and Lower Kaplan Arena lots are reserved for general parking
- All W&M Student, F/S, and state vehicles must seek parking elsewhere on campus
- The middle portion of Compton Dr will be barricaded and set as a pedestrian only section, after 7:00 am no through traffic will be allowed.
- Harrison Ave, Wake Dr, Swem F/S, and the Parking Deck will provide overflow parking as needed
- School of Ed lots 1-3 are designated for graduate parking
- Each ceremony is scheduled to last 2 hours. To expedite departures and turnover, 1 hour into each ceremony Compton Dr will be changed to outbound traffic only towards Monticello Ave.
Parking Staff, RMC and WMPD Officers will be onsite to moderate traffic and assist guest with arrivals and departures.
