Fall 2021 Move In Loading Zones
Summary
Loading Zones have been set up throughout campus to help parents and students obtain parking near residence halls for move in and orientation this weekend. These zones will be in effect from 8:00 am Thursday Aug 26th through 5:00 pm Tuesday Aug 31st. Loading zone spaces carry a 2-hr limit. Attendants will be onsite to assist with traffic flow and movement on the roads. Please exercise caution when driving within lots and on campus streets.
Full Description
Unloading Zones in Freshman Areas (Thursday 8/26 and Friday 8/27):
- Botetourt Complex - Resident spaces on both sides of Wake Drive
- Brown - Spaces in front of the building along N. Boundary St.
- Camm - Metered/timed spaces in Dawson Circle and spaces in Zable Stadium Lot - Bryan Side
- Green and Gold Village – unloading will occur on the interior driveway of Green and Gold Village – also spaces on Ukrop way
- Hunt & Reves - Spaces within traffic circle in front of building.
- Monroe - Four (4) faculty/staff spaces at the end of James Blair Drive and the left side and faculty/staff spaces in front of Monroe Hall.
- Pleasants and Preston – spaces along Ukrop, and some of the commuter spaces by Pleasants
- Willis - Vehicles may drive from Facilities Management up to the designated area on the East side of Willis. Drivers will exit the same way.
- Yates – At Yates parking lot
Unloading Zones in Upperclass Areas:
- Barrett - Signed spaces on Landrum Drive.
- Bryan Complex - Metered/timed spaces in Dawson Circle and spaces in Zable Stadium lot - Bryan side
- Chandler, Hardy and Lemon - Select spaces on Landrum Drive.
- DuPont - Resident spaces on both sides of Wake Drive.
- Landrum - Select spaces on Landrum Drive
- Old Dominion Hall - Signed spaces in Old Dominion Lot and in the James Blair Lot.
- One Tribe Place – Unloading zones will be at the front drive and Red Garage level (8am – 4pm only) from Saturday through Tuesday
- Randolph Complex - The bike path in front of Randolph on Ukrop Way from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
- Sorority Court - Three (3) faculty/staff and two (2) resident spaces in the drive at Armistead Avenue. The two (2) resident spaces on the other sides of the court as well. No vehicles will be allowed on the brick courtyard.
- Tribe Square - Four (4) spaces within the lot
