Capital Plan & Master Plan
The Campus Master Plan supports the aspirations of the university’s Strategic Plan, integrates its focused Guiding Principles, and accommodates the functional needs of its academic, campus life, and athletic programs. In support of the Master Plan, and guided by campus design guidelines, the Board of Visitors approves the annual capital plan, which lists and prioritizes projects executed by Design & Construction.

2025 Campus Comprehensive Plan
William & Mary is currently engaged in a master plan update. The Campus Comprehensive Plan is a living document that guides the use and objectives for W&M's multiple campuses, and their current and future transformations. When complete, the new Campus Comprehensive Plan will incorporate the Housing & Dining Facilities Plan (approved by the Board of Visitors in spring 2022), the Learning Spaces Plan (to be finalized in fall 2024) and the Landscape Plan (to be finalized in summer 2024).
