Homecoming comedy show to feature Beth Stelling, Rae Sanni
Stand-up comedian, writer and actress Beth Stelling will perform during William & Mary’s 2018 Homecoming & Reunion Weekend.
Rae Sanni, a comedian and writer, will open the Oct. 20 show in the Chesapeake Room of the Sadler Center. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 8. Admission is free for students and $10 for the public at the door. Alma Mater Productions is sponsoring the event.
Stelling has appeared on Conan, @Midnight, Chelsea Lately, The Pete Holmes Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Time Out Magazine named her a “Comic to Watch” in 2016, and she is featured in the Netflix series The Standups, which is currently streaming. Stelling’s Comedy Central special debuted in 2015, the same year her second album, “Simply the Beth,” debuted at number three on the iTunes Comedy Charts. She currently writes for the HBO show Crashing.
Sanni is a writer for Fox’s REL. She previously wrote for NBC’s The Good Place and Comedy Central’s The President Show. She has performed standup on Lifetime and in the New York Comedy Festival. Her writing has appeared in New York Magazine and Buzzfeed. She was named one of Comedy Central’s “Up Next” comedians in 2017. She cohosts the podcast Misandry with Marcia and Rae with Marcia Belsky.
W&M’s 2018 Homecoming & Reunion Weekend is scheduled for Oct. 18-21 with the parade planned for Friday and football game against Maine on Saturday.
