Tribe football team opens season Saturday at West Virginia
The William & Mary football team will open the 2013 season when it plays at West Virginia Saturday at noon.
The contest will be televised nationally by Fox Sports 1, while audio and live stats will be available at TribeAthletics.com. Fans can also listen to the live broadcast on the Tribe's flagship stations, 92.3 FM The Tide and 107.9 Bach FM.

The Tribe has played well in many of its recent FBS matchups, as it defeated Virginia, 26-14, in the 2009 opener and led at Maryland in the fourth quarter last season before being edged, 7-6. Additionally, W&M held a double-digit fourth quarter lead at North Carolina in 2010 before falling, 21-17.
Saturday’s game between W&M and WVU will mark the 17th time the two programs have met. The Mountaineers lead the series, 15-0-1. WVU claimed the initial meeting, 20-6, in Williamsburg on Nov. 13, 1954, while the Mountaineers won the most recent matchup, 49-34, on Oct. 7, 1972 in Morgantown.
