Tribe football on a roll
Heading into its matchup this Saturday at top-ranked James Madison University, the Tribe football team is on a roll. In addition to extending its winning streak to five games, W&M’s triumph against the Huskies was the team’s seventh win in the last eight games. With a 7-2 record overall and a 5-1 mark in conference play, the College’s lone FCS loss this season came against Villanova, which is currently ranked among the top 10 in both national polls.
The Tribe continues to boast one of the nation’s most productive offenses and currently ranks 12th nationally in total offense (425.67 ypg) and 14th in scoring offense (35.22 ppg). Defensively, W&M also ranks among the nation’s best and is 28th in total defense (313.22 ypg) and 20th in pass efficiency defense (109.7 ypg).
W&M will look to extend its winning streak to six games when it takes on the Dukes, who are ranked No. 1 in both national polls. The game is scheduled for Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at JMU.
