Presidential campaigns court Virginia and youth vote
In a nod to the political cat nip that Virginia has become in the 2008 Presidential Election, Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius hosted a town hall meeting on the William and Mary campus Sept. 23 sponsored by the College’s Young Democrats club. Sebelius, in her second term as governor, was reported to be on Obama’s short-list of potential vice presidential candidates prior to this summer’s democratic convention. The meeting was one of several discussions the Gov. held in Virginia this week; Sebelius also spoke in Richmond on Tuesday.
While on campus, Sebelius met with a number of William and Mary students active in politics and the Obama campaign.
