H1N1 Vaccination Clinic for Students
Ginger Ambler, vice president for student affairs, sent the following message to students on Monday, Nov. 16. - Ed.
The Student Health Center has received a second allocation of H1N1 vaccine and will begin providing vaccine to all students. A special student clinic will be held Wednesday, November 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Chesapeake Room at the Sadler Center. To operate the clinic as efficiently as possible, 10-12 of our nurses and doctors will be available there to provide vaccinations. This re-deployment of Health Center staff will leave a limited number of providers at the Student Health Center on Wednesday. Students with non-urgent medical needs are encouraged to wait and seek care on Thursday or Friday when the full complement of doctors and nurses are back on site.
A limited H1N1 vaccine clinic (staffed with only 4 healthcare providers) will be held at the Student Health Center on Tuesday night, November 17 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. This shorter clinic is an effort to accomodate students who will be unable to attend Wednesday's large-scale vaccination clinic. Please know that these are the first of several clinics to be held on campus. It is our goal to vaccinate all who wish to receive the vaccine and to do so as quickly as supplies arrive on campus.
