Notified by City Police search is complete and area is back open to the public.

4:35 p.m.

TribeAlert: City Police are checking a building in Merchants Square for a device as a precaution. A small section of the square is currently cordoned off to the public. Update to follow. (See more from the City of Williamsburg here.)
