Power outage update
November 27, 2017, 3:17 pm
Dear William & Mary community,
Work continues in response to the power outage this morning caused by a failure of a Dominion Energy transformer. No property was damaged from the resulting fire. Power has already been restored to most of campus. However, the Botetourt Complex and Keck Lab are expected to be without power for several days. Residence Life has communicated directly with the residents of the Botetourt Complex about plans to temporarily relocate them.
The Child Care Center has power again and will remain open. The Marketplace reopened at 11 a.m. The Center Court dining area at the Sadler Center will reopen at 5 p.m. The opening of other dining facilities will vary based on when power is restored to each. Please visit the W&M Dining Facebook page -- https://www.facebook.com/WMdining -- for the latest updates. For any other campus facilities, please check their respective social media sites as well.
