On Friday, 8/13, as part of the on-going W&M underground heating and cooling piping project, the new steam piping will need several steam blows to prepare the new pipe for regular operation. The steam discharge will be near the old north pedestrian tunnel stairs in the grass area and will be cordoned off. These blows will sound like a rumbling of a jet, however they will only last about 5 minutes per test. The contractor is anticipating at least two (2) steam blows with a possible third if needed. Each test should be approximately one hour apart starting about 11 a.m.
