Message regarding the passing of Patricia Sisson
The following message was sent to the College community on July 7 by Anna Martin, vice president for administration - Ed.
To the College Community:
It is with deep regret that I inform you of the passing of Patricia W. Sisson, administrative assistant in the Provost's Office, in the early morning of July 4th, 2009. Beginning in 2005, Pat served the College and its students, faculty, and staff, but her love of and devotion to the College precede that service by decades. The proud mother of an alumnus, Pat took great pride in her work with the SACS accreditation project, assessment of student learning, and, especially, the engaged scholarship projects in community health. The family celebrated her life at a private graveside service on July 6th. Pat is survived by her husband, Calvin, and her children, Clark, Cara and Bill (Class of '90).
At her request, memorial gifts in Pat's honor can be sent to:
Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg
4445 Powhatan Parkway
Williamsburg, VA 23188
or directed to the programs Pat served and actively supported at the College:
Gift Accounting Office
Discovery 1
The College of William and Mary
PO Box 8795
Williamsburg, VA 23187
Please indicate support for either the project in the Dominican Republic (with SOMOS - 3102 in the "memo " line) or the Nicaragua project (with SHC - 3149 in the "memo" line).
