Financial forum available via webcast
(Williamsburg, Va.) – "Understanding the Current Financial Crisis: A Panel Discussion by William and Mary Faculty," will be broadcast live via web stream at http://www.wm.edu/forum on Oct. 15, 2008 at 6 p.m. The forum will feature a discussion between business, economic and law professors about the current financial situation and thoughts for the future.
Moderated by Dick Ash, clinical professor of entrepreneurship and private equity at the Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary, panelists will address what happened, what caused it, where we are, and where we go from here. The format will include remarks from each panelist followed by a question and answer session with the audience. The forum is free and open to the public. The event will be in the auditorium at the William and Mary Office of Admission.
“This event will provide members of the community with a non-partisan analysis of the current financial crisis and a set of facts they can walk away with,” said Ash.
The panel will be comprised of professors from the Mason School of Business, the William and Mary School of Law and the department of economics at the College of William and Mary. Panelists will include John Merrick, Richard S. Reynolds associate professor of business and John Boschen, Brinkley-Mason professor, Mason School of Business; Eric Kades, vice dean, William and Mary Law School and Till Schreiber, assistant professor of economics, College of William and Mary.
