Campus message regarding the passing of Linda Adams
Anna Martin, vice president for administration, sent the following note to campus Monday night regarding the passing of retired staff member Linda Adams. - Ed.
I am saddened to inform you of the death of Linda Adams, a retiree of the college who worked in SWEM Library. She passed away on Saturday, September 6 after a short illness. She leaves behind her husband Ray, a sister and two brothers.
After graduating from the College, Linda began her employment in 1966 as the secretary to the Director of Swem Library. She retired as the head of the circulation department after 30 years of dedicated service to the college. She thoroughly enjoyed needlework, quilting, gardening and genealogy.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. and a memorial service will follow on Thursday, September 11 at Nelsen Funeral Home located at 3785 Strawberry Plains Road in Williamsburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg Foundation, P.O. Box 1265, Williamsburg, VA 23187 or to a favorite charity.
