College establishes award to recognize student leaders

The College of William and Mary established the Recognizing Achievement in Leadership (RAIL) Committee this fall through the Office of Student Activities to highlight the contributions of student leaders to the Williamsburg Community.

Law School professor plays role drafting UN human rights treaty

William & Mary Law School Professor Michael Stein has played an integral part in the international Ad Hoc Committee that has been meeting for five years to draft a United Nations disability human rights treaty.

College to offer free business seminar to community

The College of William and Mary's Technology and Business Center, in conjunction with the Mason School of Business, will present a seminar on the ways readily available and simple technologies may be used to improve businesses, Dec. 6 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Williamsburg Community Building.

The library under construction at William & Mary Law School has been named the Wolf Law Library to honor alumnus and Vice Rector of the College Henry C. Wolf, Law School Dean W. Taylor Reveley III announced recently.

Lawrence Wilkerson to keynote Model U.N.

Lawrence Wilkerson, former Chief of Staff under Secretary of State Colin Powell and the Harriman Visiting Professor of Government and Public Policy at the College, will address the opening ceremony of William and Mary's 20th Annual High School Model United Nations Conference Nov. 10 at 5:30 p.m. in the University Center, Chesapeake Rooms A, B and C.

ROTC cadets from the College of William and Mary placed third in a competition last weekend geared toward preparing them for what it takes to be part of one of the Army's most elite force.

College receives funding for early cancer detection research

The College of William and Mary has received a $472,409 grant from the National Cancer Institute to advance proteomics/bioinformatics technology that ultimately could result in improved sensitivity of cancer detection.

William and Mary to change athletic logo before Fall 2007

The College of William and Mary has notified the National Collegiate Athletic Association that during the next academic year the College will phase out the two feathers that are currently a part of its athletic logo.
