Meet a WMSURE Scholar: Yvette Bivins Sanchez
Yvette Bivins-Sanchez is a sophomore majoring in psychology. She conducts research in the Psychological Sciences Social Cognition lab and has been an undergraduate student researcher for a year. In February 2021, Yvette presented research at the Society for Personality & Social Psychology (SPSP) Annual Convention. She looks forward to attending more conferences in the future. Along with her academics, her extracurriculars include being a WMSURE Student Fellow and an undergraduate student member of the Psychological Sciences Diversity Committee. As Yvette continues to attend William & Mary, she is working on short-term goals that she wants to accomplish. Her short-term goals include getting her B.S in Psychology at The College of William & Mary and attending graduate school. Her long-term goals include starting a nonprofit organization to provide mental health services and connections to physical health services in the surrounding areas.
