Congratulations to WMSURE Students on their Outstanding Achievements
Congratulations to our students who have received scholarships, fellowships, and internships:
- Georgina Yeboah has been awarded the Virginia Space Grant Consortium Scholarship
- Andres Magana has been selected to participate in the JP Morgan Sophomore Edge 2020 program
- Ifeoma Ayika was invited to attend the 2020 Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit in Detroit, Michigan
- Chelsea Scott has been awarded a 2020 Hulon Willis Scholarship. The award is named in honor of Hulon L. Willis '56, the first African American student to attend William and Mary.
- Danielle Brown was accepted into the Peace Corps. She will be a STEM high school teacher in Mozambique starting in August
- Jasmine Garnes has been offered admission to the MSW program at Howard University. She has accepted and will be starting in the fall. This was her first choice.
- Yosselin Turcios co-authored a publication with Professor Deenesh Sohoni: Sohoni, Deenesh and Yosselin Turcois (Forthcoming 2021). "Discarded Loyalty: The Deportation of Immigrant Veterans." Lewis and Clark Law Review. Vol 24. In addition, Yosselin has been accepted and will be going to Drexel University- Dornsife School of Public Health starting next Fall (MPH in Community Health and Prevention).
