Scholar songbirds gather to sing semester’s stress away
The melodious sounds of Usher, Taylor Swift, and Gladys Knight filled the air of Lodge One during the Charles Center’s first annual Scholar’s Karaoke Night on Tuesday, March 5.
More than 25 students representing the Monroe Scholars Program, Sharpe Community Scholars, WMSURE, and 1693 Scholars took a much-needed break from midterm studying to come together around power ballads and pop hits, old and new. Charles Center staff even managed to join in on the fun with a few solo numbers and duets!
Charles Center scholars programs consist of some of William & Mary’s best and brightest students who are committed to conducting research and working closely in collaboration with their fellow scholars, but aren’t afraid to have a little fun here and there.
