Background
Directory Page TitleJohn Parman received his B.A. from Williams College in 2002 and his Ph.D. from Northwestern University in 2008.  Professor Parman's research interests include economic history and labor economics with a focus on health, education and the economics of the family.  Current projects include studying the effects of children's health on families' fertility and educational investment decisions and examining changes in intergenerational correlations in health and economic outcomes over time. He will be teaching American Economic History and Government Regulation of Business for the College.
