Background
Directory Page Title

Peter McHenry received his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and his graduate training in economics at Yale University.  His interests include the economics of local labor markets, residential location choices, and educational institutions.  His research has addressed what accounts for differences in education levels across locations, the relationship between schooling and migration choices, how school characteristics affect the wages of students later in life, and how colleges claim their own economic impacts.  Over the years, Peter has enjoyed teaching statistics, principles of microeconomics, and labor economics.
