Public Policy alum and board member Christian Bale on media and the First Amendment
Christian Bale, a Public Policy alum (BA and MPP) and a new member of the program's Board of Advisors, recently co-authored an article in the NYU Law Review Forum that examines how media censorship by public officials prevents citizens from engaging with their government and exercising their First Amendment rights. Bale and his collaborators describe the implications this reality has for social media platforms. They conclude by recommending how these platforms can adapt to help support free speech rights.
