Rossiter named to state task force
Louis F. Rossiter, research professor of public policy at the College of William and Mary, was named to a working group of Virginia’s Government and Regulatory Task Force. Attorney General Bob McDonnell announced Rossiter’s appointment this week at a press conference in Richmond.
The newly-created task force is comprised of community and business leaders and will conduct a systematic review of state regulations to minimize the adverse impact on commerce and society, while preserving the important public safety, health and welfare protections that many of the regulations provide.
Rossiter, who is also director of the Schroeder Center for Healthcare Policy at William and Mary, will serve on the health care working group. Health care is one of three special issue focuses of the task force. Other groups will look at agriculture and small business issues.
