Who Are W&M Policy Graduate Students?
We admit a total of 50 graduate students (25 in each track) every year. Students come from all over the world (5-15 percent of our students are international, depending on the year), and all have the ambition to excel in policy positions that require superior analytical and quantitative skills. Some stats:
- Average Age: 26
- Proportion with prior work experience: two-thirds
- Average GPA: 3.5
- Average GRE scores: Verbal 160, Quant 157, Analytical Writing 4.5
- Average LSAT scores (used by students accepted to W&M’s Law or Business School): 166 (120-180)
- Average/minimum TOEFL score (required for international students): 109/100 (IB)
- Minimum IELTS score (an alternative to the TOEFL): 7.5
