A Little More About Funding

The William and Mary Diaper Bank Receives Grants from Alpha Phi Omega and the Walmart Foundation.

The diaper bank, which was started by psychology master’s student Caroline Kelsey  (class of 2015) and undergrad Constance Hull (class of 2016), is a registered part of the National Diaper Bank network, and serves the greater Williamsburg Area. It was created in 2014 to address the unmet diaper need in Williamsburg.

The grants, in the amounts of $ $1,120.25 from APO and $1250 from the Walmart Foundation, will fund the purchasing of diapers and packing materials needed to distribute them to members of the community.

APO is a service fraternity on campus with grants such as this to encourage community service. The William and Mary Chapter of APO also fundraised for the William and Mary Healthy Beginnings Project in the spring of 2016.
