Yorktown Elementary School Science Night
In the spring of 2013, visitors to the Yorktown Elementary School Science Night were treated to demonstrations of diffraction in thin films, gravity on a spandex sheet, and microwave experiments.
Undergraduate Research Symposium
Every year the undergraduate students present their research with posters and talks at the Undergraduate Research Symposium.
PhysicsFest
On Homecoming Day we organize an open house in our department. Come and visit laboratories, talk to our students, and listen to engaging lectures.
Demos in the Sun
The Society of Physics Students organized the first "Demos in the Sun" event in the Sunken Garden in April 2013.
Commencement
At the end of their course of study, we send our young physicists into the world during a commencement ceremony on the lawn in front of Small Hall.
