Undergraduate Program
The Department of Philosophy offers a B.A. in Philosophy. The study of Philosophy lies at the very heart of a sound liberal arts education, and it provides a strong foundation for professions in which analysis and argumentation are particularly advantageous. The courses we offer cover most fields of philosophical inquiry and range from introductory surveys suitable for all students to advanced seminars for students majoring in philosophy or related disciplines.
Many of our courses fulfill requirements in the COLLEGE (COLL) curriculum. All of them will help you to hone your argumentative and writing skills. We welcome equally students who want to take just one course and students who are interested in majoring.
If you are considering a philosophy major, we would be happy to talk with you more about what philosophical training can do for you. Just get in touch with us by using the info on our contact page.
