Rebecca Benefiel Gives Lecture on Ancient Graffiti
On Thursday, October 19, the Department of Classical Studies hosted Dr. Rebecca Benefiel, who gave a fascinating lecture to a packed house on the graffiti of Pompeii. Dr. Benefiel presented many graffiti preserved in the ancient Roman city and explained how such writings can shed light on both their writers and readers.
