Wilkerson on Amanpour
William and Mary’s distinguished adjunct professor of Government and Public Policy, Lawrence Wilkerson, joins Walter Isaacson of CNN on the latest episode of Amanpour. Wilkerson, as the former Chief of Staff to Colin Powell, shares his insight to President Trump turning on his own intelligence chiefs. In the same episode, Juan Guaidó, the President of the Venezuelan National Assembly discusses his campaign to push Nicolás Maduro out of power and Zhang Xin, the CEO of Soho China, chats about the weakening China-U.S. relations. You can listen to the episode here.
Before joining us at William and Mary, Wilkerson served as Secretary of State Colin Powell’s Chief of Staff from 2002-2005. He also served as Associate Director of the State Department’s Policy Planning staff under the directorship of Ambassador Richard N. Haas and as a member of that staff responsible for East Asia and the Pacific as well as the working in the political-military and legislative affairs office in 2001-2002.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, Professor Wilkerson!
