Chancellor Professor and Forrest J. Murden Professor John Oakley has been named the Australian Archaeological Institute in Athens' Visiting Professor for 2015. This post, which has been held previously by some of the biggest names in ancient Greek Art and Archaeology, involves a six-week tour of the entire Australian continent in August and September, during which Prof. Oakley will deliver twenty-seven lectures along with other presentations, including workshops with Australian students on his specialty of Greek Vase Painting.
