Economics Major Ruoyan Sun
Senior economics major Ruoyan Sun scored an academic home run recently. The journal Economic Modelling has just published an article of hers titled Kinetics of Jobs in Multi-Link Cities with Migration-Driven Aggregation Process. She wrote this model herself, with some advice from the mathematics department. She was familiar with the use of networks in statistical physics and realized that she could use one of the techniques she had encountered to think about how immigration affects local job markets.

Ruoyan is currently working on network theory with professor Don Campbell in the economics department, and they plan to write a paper together. Ruoyan is also looking into graduate programs in economics for next year.
