W&M Chamber Winds and Jazz Ensemble to Perform in November
The William & Mary Chamber Concert features the Chamber Winds and select small ensembles from the Wind Symphony. The Chamber Winds, an audition-only ensemble composed of twelve select Wind Symphony members, performs the finest repertoire for small wind ensemble. This evening's concert of 18th and 19th century Harmoniemusik includes selections by Dvorak, Hahn, and Beethoven. Senior bassoon soloist Lauren Hill will perform the first movement of Weber's beloved Concerto for Bassoon. Dr. Paul Bhasin conducts.

Jazz Concerts:
The William & Mary Jazz Ensemble performs two concerts on back-to-back Tuesdays! Both concerts feature selections from Miles Davis' monumental 1949 recording, "Birth of the Cool", as well as 1940's mambo favorites by Tito Puente (featuring our latin percussion section). Music of Ellington, Frank Zappa, and vocal performances by Jonathan Grimes and Raquel Tripp round out the program. The 11/15 show features the W&M Jazz Combo led by Harris Simon
