Repast Baroque Ensemble Performs as part of the Ewell Concert Series
Join the Ewell Concert Series for its next program: Repast Baroque Ensemble!
Acclaimed by The New York Times for its "vital performances" and
"robust" playing, Repast is a collaboration of three period-instrument
virtuosi presenting vivid renditions of music from the Baroque era. The
group's name, meaning a meal or a feast, is a double-entendre: out of a
revival of music from the past comes a delectable, spiritually nourishing experience. Each member of Repast: Amelia Roosevelt (baroque violin), John Mark Rozendaal (baroque violoncello and viola da gamba) and Avi Stein (harpsichord) has an active career in historical performance and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the trio's programs.
Since 2004, Repast has performed at Bargemusic, presented an annual
three-concert series at the Baruch Performing Arts Center and has been
featured on WKCR and Vermont Public radio.
This concert is co-sponsored by the Reves Center for International Studies
