Countertop Ensemble to present next Ewell Concert
The Ewell Concert Series presents the Countertop Ensemble--a vocal octet of sopranos, countertenors, tenors and basses—on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 8pm in the Wren Chapel, College of William and Mary. The Ensemble sings varied, innovative and exciting performances of music from Renaissance and Baroque to Contemporary. Countertop will perform at the Smithsonian Institution’s Bolivian Baroque Music Festival in July, 2012.

Parry (1848-1918); Justorum animae Charles Villiers Stanford (1852-1924); Haec Dies William Byrd (1540-1623); Surge Illuminare William Byrd (1540-1623); Hail Gladdening Light; Charles Wood (1866-1926); and Loquebantur variis linguis Thomas Tallis (1505-1585).
