Lifestyle and Cognitive Predictors of Problem Solving Among Older Adults
The study is designed to determine the relationships between personality traits, social cognitive measures, exercise habits, general cognitive ability and comprehension of health related information by older adults. It is anticipated that results will provide information on the contributions of exercise and social cognition to dependent measures of practical problem solving and decision making ability as indicators of “compiled wisdom” among older adults. This evidence will contribute to understanding those factors that help forestall the effects of aging on the ability to understand and make appropriate decisions related to practical life problems.
