Students Place 14th at ACM Regionals
On Saturday, May 7 three teams from William & Mary participated in the ACM Mid-Atlantic Regional Programming Contest. Two of the teams placed first (team Ebirt) and second (team Gold) among the teams participating at the Christopher Newport University site.
Of the 161 teams participating at all sites, team Ebirt finished 14th by solving 2 of the 8 problems. This was the best showing by a William & Mary since 2004. Team Ebirt consisted of Sarah Cameron, Kevin Cox and Joel Gillespie.
Team Gold finished 34th overall by solving 1 of the 8 problems. The Gold team consisted of Chris Flynn, Sam Klock and Alex Valentin.
