Lindberg Honored
John Lindberg has taught percussion at the College of William and Mary for over 35 years. He has also been a member of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra for over 45 years, serving as Principal Percussionist and then as Principal Timpanist for the past 20 years. John will be retiring from the VSO at the end of their current season.
This past weekend, the Mayor of Norfolk, Paul D. Fraim, read a proclamation at the last of the VA Symphony's subscription concerts, thanking Lindberg for his many years of service to the musical community. JoAnn Falletta, conductor of the VA Symphony, presented John with a gift and spoke about him too.
"Fortunately for W&M,
John will continue to teach in the Department of Music", says Judy Zwelling, Director of Applied Music at the College.
