Tomas Lozano Performance begins this year's Ewell Concert Series
The Department of Music is pleased to welcome Tomás Lozano to the College of William and Mary in mid October. In addition to performing for the Ewell Concert Series on October 15 at 4:30 in Ewell Recital Hall, Lozano will also be presenting a lecture on Thursday, October 13 at 5:00pm in Tyler 301. This lecture, "Music in the Missions", will be part of the Music in American Culture Series.
With vibrant fingerwork on his guitar and the soothing droning of his hurdy-gurdy, Tomas Lozano performs Hispanic Ballads sung in Castilian, Galician, Catalan and Judeo-Spanish.
Singer, musician, scholar and author, Lozano has performed folk,
traditional and medieval music at festivals in Switzerland, southern
France, Germany, northern Italy, Canada and the United States. A
permanent member of Viva la Pepa and Trio Lococ, Mr. Lozano lectures at
colleges and universities across the country. He makes his own musical

A very special "Meet the Artist" reception will immediately follow the
concert with Spanish wine and tapas at La Tienda. The reception will
feature a no-host bar with complimentary Spanish tapas appetizers in the
elegant setting of La Tienda, known for the best food and wine from
Spain.
The concert is free and open to the public but donations to the Ewell Concert Series are appreciated.
