Moeno Hashiguchi joins the Japanese Studies program!
The Japanese Studies program welcome Moeno Hashiguchi as our International Language Fellow!
Hashiguchi-san was born in Ibaraki, which is famous for natto (fermented soybeans). She joins us from Akita International University, where she earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Japanese Language Teaching. Before coming to William and Mary she had previously studied abroad in Canada and visited New York. She has also attended conferences in places like Madison, Wisconsin as part of her training in language education.
A few fast facts about Hashiguchi-san:
Her favorite food is sushi, and particularly grilled flounder fin, sea urchin, fatty tuna, and salmon.
She watches America television dramas for both English learning and for fun. She enjoys a variety of genres, including mystery, comedy, and legal dramas, but especially enjoys family dramas.
In her free time she enjoys working out and going to local shops.
Hashiguchi-san will lead conversation hours for the Japanese Studies programs, so keep an eye out for emails to stay informed about the time and place for these meetings.
