Guest lecture by Dr. Anri Yasuda (University of Virginia)
Dr. Anri Yasuda (the University of Virginia) will be visiting the Japanese Studies program at William and Mary to give a talk on her book, Beauty Matters: Modern Japanese Literature and the Question of Aesthetics, 1890 - 1930. The talk will be held on Monday, September 23 from 5 PM to 6:30 PM in Integrated Science Center 1280. All members of the William and Mary community are welcome to attend.
Dr. Yasuda's talk will discuss authors such as Natsume Sōseki and how Japanese literature was in dialogue with the visual arts.
