Professor Silvia Tandeciarz, Vice-Dean for Social Sciences & Interdisciplinary Studies and Chancellor Professor of Hispanic Studies at William & Mary, has been leading university students to La Plata, Argentina, for both summer and semester study abroad and internship programs for more than twenty years. Her primary focus in these programs revolves around human rights, a topic of great relevance to present and future generations. Tandeciarz, originally from Argentina, highlights the enduring importance of these programs. She underscores that Argentina's recent history, marked by its final dictatorship and the subsequent process of transitional justice, has not only molded the country's contemporary socio-political landscape but has also served as a global example of accountability in post-conflict scenarios. The program has been highlight in the World Minded Newsletter.
