Hispanic Studies welcomes Álvaro Garrote Pascual
Álvaro Garrote Pascual specializes in Medieval literatures and cultures. His research and teaching interests focus on cultural hybridity in the Iberian Middle Ages, which he studies through the concepts of translation and border as devices that facilitate the transfer of knowledge. He also works on the uses of the medieval past in current cultural and political spheres in Spain. He completed a MA and a PhD in Hispanic Literatures at Cornell University.
Dr. Garrote Pascual is teaching HISP 207 "La imaginación cultural" and HISP 390 "España Medieval; Coexist y Poder".
