Last summer, the Hispanic Studies department inaugurated a novel overseas program in Palungo, Ecuador. This initiative was spearheaded by Professors Riofrío and Carrión, who led students on a captivating three-week adventure to an exceptional farm located near Quito. During their stay, students were fully immersed in the farm's lifestyle and activities, providing them with a unique opportunity to delve into sustainable farming practices and permaculture.
