Fun at the French House

Kudos to this year’s captains of the French House! With the help of faculty liaison Prof. Lee-Ferrand, French majors Morgan Cook-Sather (’25) and Aidan McCullough (’25) have done a terrific job coordinating activities for our Living & Learning community. With great energy and a slate of innovative ideas, these two seniors have hosted an exciting range of events this semester. Being students themselves, they are uniquely tuned in to the residents’ desires: one person’s interest in going to the beach could therefore quickly turn into a fun “journée à la plage” for the group.

To this end Morgan enjoyed creating “special scenario-based workshops such as how to order at a restaurant in France, interactions at a bakery, engaging in a marketplace, as well as some common French slang words and expressions to use with native French speakers." Her favorite event, though, was a raclette night where residents got to make (and taste!) the traditional Swiss dish.
