Dr. Ickes comes to the College of William & Mary after recently completing postdoctoral work in maternal and child nutrition at Cornell University and a research fellowship in child health epidemiology at the University of the Witwaterstrand in South Africa. Dr. Ickes received his doctorate in nutrition at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and has now returned to his undergraduate Alma Mater, The College of William & Mary. Dr. Ickes primary research interests are in public health nutrition, nutritional epidemiology and global health and he is currently teaching a course in Epidemiology and Public Health. The department is particularly pleased to have Dr. Ickes expertise as it continues to aid in the development of a minor in public health at the College.
