Provost recommends Robert Vinson as a University Professor for Teaching Excellence
Provost Michael Halleran has announced that he will recommend to the Board of Visitors that it designate Associate Professor Robert T. Vinson as a University Professor for Teaching Excellence. The Board of Visitors will take up the Provost's recommendation at its April 15 meeting.
Rob Vinson is a specialist in the histories of southern Africa and of African diaspora. He will be the fourth member of the Department of History to have been designated a University Professor for Teaching Excellence, alongside Phil Daileader, Carol Sheriff, and Jim Whittenburg.
