Ron Schechter's Book Awarded David Pinkney Prize for 2003
Ron Schechter's book Obstinate Hebrews: Representations of Jews in France, 1715-1815,
has been awarded the David Pinkney prize for 2003. The prize is awarded
annually by the Society for French Historical Studies to the best book
in French history by a North American scholar. It is the highest
distinction that French historians can offer their colleagues in North
America.
