Michael R. Halleran Dissertation Completion Fellowships in the Humanities
In 2014, Graduate Arts & Sciences began offering competitive dissertation fellowships to doctoral students in the humanities. Initially called the Provost Dissertation Fellowships, they were renamed in 2019 to honor Michael R. Halleran's ten years of service as William & Mary's provost and to thank him for his dedicated support of graduate programs.
Process
Detailed information regarding eligibility and application requirements is circulated by email in September each year. By no later than 5:00 p.m. on the last day of classes for each fall semester, doctoral candidates in American Studies, Anthropology, and History may submit an application for consideration to the OGS.
